A Passion for People and Performance
HalgrenCoaching stands out for many reasons. In addition to completing a rigorous academic coaching education and certification process, I have years of hands-on experience coaching individuals with varying professional development objectives. I value research and take a scientific, evidence-based approach to facilitating coaching engagements. In addition to having knowledge of intercultural effectiveness, my practical experience of understanding and bridging cultural differences in life and work can benefit clients facing similar challenges.

A coach can't change a client into someone they are not. A coach's true job is simply to create the circumstances and initiate the conversations that encourage people to take steps toward becoming their best selves. From a coaching perspective that translates into living a life based on the client's core values, natural talents, greatest hopes and biggest dreams.

Executive and Organizational coaching never ceases to thoroughly engage me. I enjoy getting to know my clients during our work together and am always amazed by their eagerness to learn as reflected in the honest questions they pose to me. I often see flashes of insight cross their faces as we explore options, only to see those looks quickly transform into expressions of determination to make changes. Time and again I have seen clients start making progress toward their goals, and then experience newfound energy they find hard to contain.

At the very core of my work as an Executive Coach is the belief that becoming who we are has more to do with removing the layers that weigh us down than it has to do with adding something new on top of them. That liberating process is the key to unleashing our full potential. It is the most authentic way to unlock the door to being that better communicator, that more inspiring leader, more efficient manager, or extra culturally sensitive team leader or member.

When I see how well this process works, when I see the meaningful outcomes clients achieve, and when I hear of the impact the changes have made in their lives, I am reminded why my work matters... to others and to me.
